As a law student, Ugo Harris was allowed to skip the first year of law school because of his extraordinary academic performance. He served as the deputy speaker of the law students' congress and later as the defacto speaker. 

A legal writer and original thinker, he quickly became the editor of his law school journal in his second year, and the editor-in-chief in his final year. 

Ugo was a star moot and mock trial law student and was a key part of the award winning team that enviably represented his law school in moot and mock trial competitions against other law schools.

As a distinguished advocate, Ugo Harris was the first and only law student to ever summon the appellate jurisdiction of the law students' jurial court where he successfully persuaded the law professors, sitting on appeal, to overturn the lower court's conviction of  the former law student president, financial secretary and public relations officer. Ugo's extra-ordinary advocacy and legal ingenuity ensured these young law graduates were acquitted and cleared by the university senate to proceed to vocational legal training and licensure. They, otherwise, may never have been lawyers today though they successfully completed their legal education!

Ugo is an active member of the distinguished Kaufman/Campbell Inn of Court; San Bernardino County Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar Association, among others.
